Colegio Mesón
In a country where 60% of the population live below the poverty line and the average family has 4-5 children; the needs are great. Our area of focus is the department (state) of Alta Verapaz; it is one of the least economically developed in the country.

Sixty-six percent of Guatemala is illiterate and according to the 1994 census students never complete 5th grade. We were prompted by this knowledge to establish Colegio Beer-Lajai-Roi in January of 1996. It is a private school dedicated to the spiritual formation and academic training of future leaders in Guatemala. It has opened up a direct line of influence in many homes throughout the local communities. As we educate the children with one of the best academic curriculums available in our state, it enables us to address family issues and to offer renewed hope where in many cases...hope is gone.

Time and time again we sit down with parents to resolve a school related difficulty their child is experiencing only to discover that it stems from conflict in the home. This allows us to address issues that can restore broken relationships; once again coming back to our main emphasis - Christ Centered Relationships.
